NAFDAC cautions pregnant women over illegal baby tonic
NAFDAC, has alerted on the illegal manufacturing of Baby Delivery Mother Tonic, BDMT, popularly called Abiwere herbal mixture


NATIONAL Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has alerted on the illegal manufacturing of Baby Delivery Mother Tonic, BDMT, popularly called Abiwere herbal mixture, warning pregnant women in the country to stop buying and administering a brand of easy baby delivery tonic as it had been found to be adulterated.

According to the NAFDAC officials, the owner operating under the name, M.A. Adewunmi and Sons, was found operating in a dilapidated and unhygienic building around Agbeni Market in Ibadan metropolis.

The Deputy Director and South-West Zonal Head of NAFDAC, Mrs. Omosola Osinbajo conducted journalists around the company’s premises.
