Cristiano Ronaldo had an eventful game saturday night in Real Madrid ’s 4-2 victory over Almeria.
The Portuguese forward missed a penalty, scored minutes later and then received a red card for a second bookable offence.
Ronaldo was booked for taking his shirt off after scoring Real’s fourth and then received a second yellow card for lashing out at Almeria defender Michel.
Following the game Ronaldo said: "I am human and I have faults" and added that he had raised his arm in "an instinctive reaction."
The world’s most expensive player admitted he had apologized to his team mates and said he was "sad" to miss the match against Valencia at the Mestalla next week.
On a more positive note for Real Madrid , Ronaldo said his ankle felt good on his first start for the club in over two months.
